When developing my original artist website that I created from HTML/CSS code, I started by creating mockups of what I wanted my artist website to look like. These wire frames show part of my planning and brainstorming process during the initial planning phase of my website development. As you can tell with my current website and my old website, I chose a clean and tight look for my artwork intentionally because my art is a “no frills” style, as to not distract from the concepts and meaning I intend to communicate.
Below are screenshots from my original artist website. You can see similarities between the wire frames and the end product, such as the horizontal display of the artwork and the formatting of the tabs. There are also developments that occurred during the creation phase and editing phase that resulted in changes, such as not including text below the artwork cartridge and adding additional tabs over time as my art developed.
